Tanzen wie bei "Bridgerton" und Jane Austen! Du träumst davon, wie bei Jane Austen oder wie Daphne und Lord Simon durch den Ballsaal zu tanzen? Dann ist das dein Kurs! Wir lernen neben englischen "Country Dances" aus dem 17. Jahrhundert auch Ceilidh- und Set-Tänze aus Irland - alles einfacher, als es aussieht! Wir üben jeden Tanz Schritt für Schritt und wiederholen ihn jedes Mal kurz, bevor wir lostanzen. Am Anfang werden alle Tänze "gecallt", das heißt es gibt auch während des Tanzens noch eine Anleitung. Wir starten mit einfachen Dauerbrennern wie der "Indian Queen" oder "Waves of Tory" und steigern uns bis hin zu den "Candles in the Dark" und "Postie's Jig". Ein bisschen Etikette und Geschichte runden den Kurs ab. Du brauchst nichts mitbringen außer bequemen Sportschuhen und lockerer Kleidung. Du kannst sowohl alleine oder auch zu zweit am Kurs teilnehmen.
Bei Regen findet der Kurs in einem überdachten Bereich statt.

Dance like in ‘Bridgerton’ and Jane Austen! Do you dream of dancing across the ballroom like in a Jane Austen novel, or like Daphne and Lord Simon? Then this is the class for you! As well as 17th-century English ‘country dances’, we’ll also learn ceilidh and set dances from Ireland – it’s all easier than it looks! We practise each dance step by step and go over it briefly each time just before we start dancing. At the beginning, all the dances are ‘called’, meaning there are instructions even whilst we’re dancing. We’ll start with simple classics like the ‘Indian Queen’ or ‘Waves of Tory’ and work our way up to ‘Candles in the Dark’ and ‘Postie’s Jig’. A bit of etiquette and history round off the course. You don’t need to bring anything with you apart from comfortable trainers and loose-fitting clothing. You can take part in the course either on your own or as a pair.
In the event of rain, the course will take place in a covered area.
