Salsa Cubana, also known as Cuban-style Salsa, Casino-style or "de la calle" is a dynamic partner dance that originated in Cuba. The dance combines circular movements with musicality and its style emphasizes the body’s natural flow of movement. Spontaneous creativity and improvisation are encouraged and define the individual style of each dancer. Salsa Cubana is danced at social dance parties and is also the basis for Rueda.
